It’s been a while since I set foot in Blogsville.
One thing that is reasonably consistent with me is when I’m in the final legs of delivering a new book everything else seems to be put on hold. I have to deliver at the beginning of October and I’m about 2/3rds complete; nearly there but a long way to go. The new book is all about resilience and it’s my biggest little book yet.
Between now and then Ainsley and I have a really exciting trip to Geneva where we’ve been asked by the World Health Organisation to help launch Mental Health Month which is in October.
We’re also there to launch a new video, which is based on Living With a Black Dog – a guide to carers and partners of people living with depression. It’s a massive honour and we’re really pumped.
The other day Ainsley and I went to Take 2; a recording studio in McMahons Point, Sydney where we recorded the voice over. With the expert guidance of Take2 sound engineer Greg Crittenden, Ainsley became the star of the show which was amazing considering she’d never done voice over work before.
The ‘I Had a Black Dog Video’ since it launched with W.H.O has had 3 ¼ million views which still blows me away – we’re hoping the next video will get similar clicks and let people know that it’s not the end of the world if the Black Dog comes a visiting. Shall post again when the video is ready post.
Hope this finds you well wherever you may be. Woof Woof !!! Mj
