Today is a big day for me as I’m beginning what I deem as a tricky detox from the white stuff – sugar. Next to my wife and children it’s the stuff I love most but it’s probably the stuff I need least. Each year I do a detox and when ever I give up sugar I drop kilos, my skin clears up and according to my wife I stop snoring. More importantly I don’t have the horrible energy and mood dips. The major difficulty is that sugar these days is in EVERYTHING!!! To do this detox I have to drop fruit as well (not for good just for 8 weeks). Why am I blogging this? Well I thought it would be a good way for me to truly commit and perhaps inspire others to give it a crack. Anyway wish me luck – I shall miss the nom, nom, nom of my daily chocolate etc but I truly believe my life will be sweeter without it.
